When Microsoft 365 is the better choice

  • Your organisation works in Word, Excel and Teams and needs them licensed anyway.
  • You need Exchange features such as shared calendars across the company, retention policies or eDiscovery.
  • Your IT already manages users and devices with Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.

When Mornin is the better choice

  • You want email on your domain without learning two admin centres.
  • You need a handful of addresses for a few people, not a licence for every role address.
  • You prefer month-to-month billing that you can cancel anytime.
  • You want a small, focused service hosted on European infrastructure.

Switching to Mornin

You keep your domain and your addresses. Only the DNS records change.

  1. Add your domain to Mornin and create mailboxes and aliases for every address you use today, so nothing bounces after the switch.
  2. Keep a copy of your mail. Existing messages stay with your old provider. Export them before you close that account.
  3. Update your DNS records. Point the MX record to Mornin and add the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records. See the setup guides.
  4. Wait for new mail to arrive at Mornin, then cancel the old subscription. Keep it until the DNS change has spread, usually within a few hours.
